I joined The Economist 21 years ago, after gaining a degree in science at Glasgow University and a post graduate qualification in the Printing and Publishing at the London College of Printing (as was). My current role at The Economist is International Production and Pre-press Manager. As well as managing the production and pre-press teams, my remit includes working on contracts, environmental issues and e-projects amongst other things. As well as the time-sensitive news weekly, I also work on an annual predictive title, The World in..., and a high quality quarterly lifestyle magazine, Intelligent Life.
I am a long serving member of the PPA's Production and Technology
