Paul Sherfield
Paul Sherfield who owns and and has run the Missing Horse Consultancy for
the last 9 years has been in the printing industry for over 40 years. He
started as a hot metal compositor before moving into lithography as a
planner and then a scanner operator.
After a period with a printers research department he spent the 19070s as a
print buyer working for British Airways, Mark and Spencer and Esso where he
had extensive management training.
Tempted back into the industry, he worked for a number of sheetfed litho
companies in the London in prepress and sales roles at board level, before
joining 3 partners to in a new printing venture where he was responsible for
prepress and his own accounts.
Through the 1990's this became one of the leading printers in the UK,
winning many awards and one of the few Scitex UK beta sites for new prepress
technology.
On leaving this company in 1999 he took a number of interim management
positions before starting his consultancy.
